Sunday, October 25, 2009 Yesterday's sermon ended the whole series on Break Out. It was really great that during week 3, I wished it didn't end so soon. & ta-da! My wish got granted, it was extended by a week. :) Really thank God for it. :) Wk 1 - Your breakthrough will not begin until your desire becomes bigger than your disability; You've got to be responsible for your own transformation. We need a healthy dose of desire. Nurse, curse, rehearse& reverse. Which to choose? Taking baby steps is how we break out of our past/sin. Wk 2 - Identity. Identity supersedes activity. God defines us by who we are, not what we've done. Ephesians 4:1 Wk 3 - Acknowledging our death in sin. Crucification comes before resurrection. The Cross = An instrument of Victory. Breakout = Modification of our soul, NOT our behaviour. Wk 4 - "Kill, or be killed." Colossians 3:1-6 -> Mind = Attention; Heart = Affection. Set attention& affection on God! Moderation is NOT the way to remove sins. Partial obedience = Disobedience. We can't do God's will in our own way. Whatever God hates that is not destroyed will destroy you in turn. Summary of the Break Out series! It's really awesome! :D After church went to Sunset Way for steamboat with smallgroup. Was supposed to sign the covenant, but in the end we didn't. :S Had a great time there with the girls, planning our next smallgroup outing. Heh. & also a great time eating the food! :D & oh no, I've gotten myself a new nickname by Shengjia. :( She always bully me. :( & whoever has the pigtures, send me! :D :D Today I got myself two new bottoms& one canvas pumps. :D Yay, my mama paid for them. ^^ & dinner at Soup Kitchen.
